Together with the university Student Council we organized the annual grand event for new students called “The Freshman Day”. Each faculty was showing the talents of newly arrived students. This event is one of the main for the development of university public relations, as each university tries to attract more students by such kind of cultural events. During “The Freshman Day” all the faculties of NTU “DP” presented various stand-ups, stage dances, playing musical instruments, singing, etc. The best faculty performers got special gifts. Also, the most active representatives of each faculty Student Council were awarded with the certificate of gratitude and chocolate bar.

As a result, more people, more first-years, were encouraged to take part in the university life and join Student Council. Consequently, nowadays, Student Council of NTU “DP” becomes as intense as it has never been before, with its new leaders and motivated team.

Problems:

✓ Low awareness of schoolchildren and new students about the university life and projects

✓ Lack of financial support from university administration and NGOs

✓ Lack of participants among students in the Student Council, therefore, low influence on the administrative university life

Target group:

✓ NGOs, foreign partners, students, schoolchildren, Dnipro inhabitants

Goals:

✓ Increase university popularity and students’ activity

✓ Encourage schoolchildren to enter our university and aware students of university life and projects

✓ Promote “Dnipro Polytechnic” among other universities and NGOs

✓ Present NTU “DP” among other international organizations and foreign universities

✓ Strengthen our university relationships with its partners
