Hello! My name is Margarit Hovhannisyan.

I was born in the south of Armenia, Kapan, the center of Syunik marz. If you have not visited this unique city yet, pin it as your next destination. You will not regret, I promise!

My alma mater is Yerevan State University, and I'm a proud alumna of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, Department of English for Cross-Cultural Communication. In 2013, I earned my master’s degree from YSU with a diploma with honors. During my last year of studies, I combined my education with a job at my Department, where I was employed as a senior lab assistant.

During the next couple of years, I pursued my career in teaching and worked as an instructor of General English and TOEFL.

My career in Public Relations started in 2015 at the Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development (CARD), where I held the position of a PR specialist. In 2017, I joined the Communications team at the American University of Armenia as a communications specialist/PR & marketing. A few months later I was promoted to senior communications specialist/PR & marketing and currently I hold the position of a communications manager/PR & marketing.

I have participated in a number of professional development trainings and workshops, including "Training on Marketing and Internationalization at IST, Lisbon, Portugal" within Erasmus+ BOOST project.

Besides my native language (I'm so proud to state it's Armenian) I also know English, Russian, and a bit Italian (not the "bellissimo" level, though).

I have a strong passion for travelling, reading books, and climbing mountains.

An interesting fact about me? I'm always too focused on work, a true workaholic, which often drives my colleagues crazy.

A strange fact about me? I love animals, but I'm afraid of cats.
